Day 1 Count your blessings

Technically this is tomorrow's exercise but I'm used to doing this.  Every night before I go to sleep I hold my cross and think of all the wonderful things that have happened to me.  I write down the best thing and thank God.

The best thing that happened to me today was a conversation I had with my children.  I had the opportunity to tell my children that they are my greatest gifts.  I told them I asked God for them and they are even greater than I could've ever hoped for.

Day 1 Count your blessings.

The first morning I have to write ten blessings I am grateful for.
1. I am grateful to have a beautiful apartment where my name is on the lease.  You would be surprised at the amount people who are technically homeless because they have to bunk with family and friends and their name is not on the lease.
2.  I am grateful to have clean water to drink.  I know lots of people only drink filtered or bottled water but what a blessing to be able to get water from the tap if you have to.
3.  I am grateful to be able to sleep in my own bed.  Plenty of people have to share a bed. (I don't mean with their life partners. lol)
4.  I am grateful my brother gave me a washer and dryer.  I used to have to carry my clothes to the apartment complex's laundry room.
5.  I am grateful to be able to have brunch at a restaurant.  So many people don't have any food to eat.  Paying someone to cook for me is truly a blessing.
6.  I am grateful to have a computer.  Being able to spread my gratitude is awesome.
7.  I am grateful to have two beautiful children.  They are more than I could've hoped for.
8.  I am grateful to have my mother in my life.  She's always here when I need her.
9.  I am grateful to have worked for the same company for 12 and a half years.  Stability is very important to me and so many people are out of work.
10.  I am grateful to have a new car.  This is the first time I've ever had a new car.
